RNLI Safety Talk - August 1st, 17:00, Club Marquee

Safety around the water is an issue that sadly tends to make the headlines only when things go wrong, and with the recent lovely hot weather, there have been far more people enjoying the water than is usual. Because if it, there have been a few dangerously close near misses just lately, not only here, but at other locations around the coast.

in view of that, the various 'Agencies', RNLI, Fire etc, have been holding safety events around the country, aimed at beach users and swimmers in general. We have been approached to support the project so have offered the Club Marquee for the purpose - timed so swimmers can enjoy a swim afterwards!

Please help spread the word - we need to find as many local swimmers as possible, so we can all learn from the messages the RNLI want to offer.
