Moorings Adjustments ahead of Lift Out

Mooring Adjustments Before Lift-Out?

The club is planning to have a number of moorings repositioned before lift-out to improve access to the pontoon.

As part of this work, a local mooring contractor will be on site and there may be an opportunity for members to have their own moorings inspected, adjusted, relocated or serviced at the same time. Depending on numbers, a group booking may help reduce costs for everyone involved.

Over the past couple of weeks there have been a couple of boats that have dragged their moorings and have required rescuing, and over the last few months there have been quite a few more. Unless you check there is not telling who will be next on the list of errant boats, and after lift-out it will be more difficult to retrieve AWOL boats. So this may be a great opportunity to get your mooring sorted without the hassle of doing it yourself (at a cost of course)!

At this stage we're simply trying to gauge interest. The work date and costs are still to be confirmed, but the aim is to complete the work before lift-out.

If you think you might be interested, please let me know over the coming weeks so I can get an idea of numbers.
