SSC Pontoons and Booking

Back in 2016 an enthusiastic group of members conceived the clubs Pontoon Project and installed a series of pontoons for our members and visitors to use. Nowadays, there are three pontoons located on piles plus an access section which is soon to have a walkway on it rather than a vertical ladder. The current electrical installation is being brought up to the required standard, and this will include multiple outlets with integrated metering to allow sensible monitoring of electrical consumption when necessary. Right from the word go, the pontoons have been extremely popular and at times getting onto them has been extremely difficult with rafts of boats being a common sight!
In view of the congestion at times we have introduced a booking system so that usage can be more fairly spread between those that wish to use them, whilst still allowing capacity for our valued visitors as well as space to unload, load, and fill up with water. A very modest charge will also be made to help towards the considerable cost of running the facility, meaning those that use them are directly contributing to the costs, rather than it being spread across the entire membership.
Please find the full set of rules governing their use below and although we plan to introduce an automated booking system as soon as possible, for the time being, please contact the mooring master if you would like to book a slot.
Bookings that have already been made via the mooring master are shown in the club calendar in the top menu bar, of via the link here.
If you have any other queries please don't hesitate to contact the Mooring Master via the link above.
