Great to see BDMLR on the beach and using the clubs facilities for their training sessions today. The all day sessions aimed at training their volunteers in techniques for recovering larger marine species which goes some way to explaining the presence of an inflatable dolphin and whale! These are also partially full of water, heavy, and intentionally difficult to manoeuvre, and are used to teach how to transfer the 'animals' onto floats to stabilise their condition if injured, sick, of just disorientated
